About me…
I have been an artist as long as I can remember, and my creative journey has led me from own high school art portfolio, to BFA and MFA programs, and eventually, to my career as a professional artist with galleries in SF and NY, extensive private collectors, residencies, museum shows, curatorial work, and a thriving practice.
In addition to my career as an artist, I have also been an Advanced Placement Art Instructor for over 25 years at prestigious independent and international schools, an AP Reader, and a private portfolio coach. My students have gone onto top art programs like RISD, The Museum School, Cooper Union, Chicago Art Institute, and CCA. My past students include successful exhibiting artists, gallery owners, and curators.
One of my passions (besides making art), is helping other artists succeed. I have worked with artists from all ages, backgrounds, and stages of their career, and my experience in supporting art, portfolio, and career development is unmatched.
For many years, I’ve watched student artists struggle to figure out how to build a portfolio which balances skill with concept, and which meets all of the criteria that art programs are looking for. I’ve seen parents pay for high cost college counselors who only focus on academics and know nothing about building an art portfolio. I’ve watched emerging artists unnecessarily try to reinvent the wheel and mature artists get stuck their studio and business practices. I can help with all of these things!
Because I’ve worked with artists at all levels of development, I know exactly what you need and where you should be along your path as an artist. I’m eager to put my skills to work in supporting your creative practice. Reach out today for a free 30 minute consult.
